Osh city hosts talks on Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan border

Negotiations of the working groups of the governmental delegations of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the delimitation and demarcation of the state border finished in the city of Osh. Radio Ozodlik reported with reference to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.

Joint field survey and geodetic survey work on the most complicated parts of the boundary line within Andijan, Namangan and Ferghana regions of Uzbekistan and Batken, Jalal-Abad and Osh regions of Kyrgyzstan have been reportedly conducted. A corresponding protocol was signed on the results.

The total length of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek border is 1,378 kilometers, 320 kilometers of which are still undemarcated.
