Kyrgyz athlete Ayana Asamalikova won a gold medal at the Commonwealth of Independent States Games in Ganja, Azerbaijan. The Games’ organizers reported.
The women’s freestyle wrestling competitions were held from October 3 to October 6. Asamalikova won gold in the 69-kilogram weight category.
Kyrgyzstan’s wrestlers Asema Torogeldieva (53 kg), Sezim Zholdoshbekova (57 kg), and Akylai Chynybaeva (61 kg) won bronze medals.
The Kyrgyz women’s team at the CIS Games was coached by Nursultan Askarbekov.
