Kyrgyz akyn Nursultan Maldybaev won first place at the International Aitysh Competition in Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of composer, dombra player, and conductor Nurgisa Tilendiev. The Manas National Theater announced.
Sixteen akyns participated in the competition.
Kyrgyz akyns Nursultan Maldybaev and Kutman Sadybakasov represented Kyrgyzstan.
Meyirbek Sultankhan received the Grand Prix.
