Kyrgyz athlete Kaiyrkul Sharshebaeva won a bronze medal at the U20 World Wrestling Championships. The UWW website says.
In the 72 kg weight category, she defeated a representative of Ukraine. But then in the quarterfinals, she lost to a representative of India, who reached the final. In the consolation tournament, she defeated rivals from Bulgaria and the USA and won bronze.
The World Wrestling Championships among athletes under 20 will end on August 24.
