Inspectors of the Chui Regional Department of the Environmental and Technical Supervision Service of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Kyrgyzstan have fined Taza-Bulak municipal enterprise for setting fire to a landfill in Aleksandrovka village. The press service of the ministry reported.
Taza-Bulak, responsible for the operation of the landfill, was fined 23,000 soms.
Inspectors continue to conduct explanatory work with responsible persons and the local population on preventing fires at landfills for storing solid household waste.
Residents of Aleksandrovka village have repeatedly contacted 24-kg.com news agency. They reported that the landfill near the village has been burning for half a month. The villagers contacted local authorities, but all was in vain.
