In the first four months of 2025, investments in fixed capital in Kyrgyzstan increased by 62 percent, reaching 70.1 billion soms — the highest figure in recent years. The Cabinet of Ministers’ press service reported.
According to the statement, 35.5 percent of this amount was financed through the republican budget.
The Cabinet Chairman, Adylbek Kasymaliev, announced that work is underway to design, repair and build 519 social facilities.
He instructed the Ministry of Construction to maintain the current pace of development and emphasized the need to complete and commission at least 200 social facilities by the end of the year. The Ministry of Finance was instructed to ensure the timely allocation of the necessary funds.
The Cabinet Chairman also instructed relevant government agencies to begin work on restoring the building of the Research Institute of Cardiac Surgery, which was damaged by a fire.
The fire broke out on the evening of February 11 at the Research Institute of Cardiac Surgery and Organ Transplantation, resulting in the deaths of two children. Thirty-one patients were transferred to other hospitals. The institute’s departments were temporarily relocated to the buildings of the Republican Diagnostic Center and the National Hospital.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health reported that an estimate of 104 million soms had been prepared for urgent repair and restoration work. Additionally, about 5.5 million soms are needed to purchase new medical equipment to replace the damaged in the fire.
