The southern capital of Kyrgyzstan hosted the book festival KitepFest — 2025, dedicated to World Book and Copyright Day. The press service of the municipality reported.
The event was held at two venues — in the park named after Alisher Navoi and the Osh Regional Library named after Toktogul Satylganov. As part of the festival, Okurman Osh fair was organized, where visitors could get acquainted with the latest Kyrgyz literature works, world bestsellers and other new books.
During the festival, «Give a book to the library» campaign was held, excerpts from the works of famous writers and poets were read. The program ended with a concert with the participation of akyns and manaschi.
The event was held with the aim of popularizing national culture, preserving traditions, educating the younger generation and promoting national literature.
