President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov held negotiations with Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
The two sides discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including trade and economic relations, cultural and humanitarian ties, and regional initiatives.
President Japarov highlighted the steady positive trend in trade between the two countries. He emphasized the importance of launching a Kyrgyz-Turkmen Development Fund, drawing on Kyrgyzstan’s experience in establishing similar bilateral development funds with Russia, Hungary, Uzbekistan, and Azerbaijan.
In response, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed Turkmenistan’s readiness for deeper and more comprehensive cooperation between the two countries. He stressed Turkmenistan’s commitment and readiness of the Turkmen side for active interaction in all key areas, including trade, gas, energy, transport, culture and education.
