A 35-year-old man died as a result of a gas cylinder explosion in Zhaiyl district near Kara-Balta city. The press service of the Main Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region informed 24-kg.com news agency.
The incident occurred on April 22 at about 5.30 at a gas station located on the 64th kilometer of Bishkek-Osh highway. A gas cylinder installed under a GAZ-53 milk tanker exploded after refueling with methane. The 35-year-old driver received serious injuries — he died at the scene.
Law enforcement officers arrived at the scene. The gas station was temporarily closed after the incident. The circumstances are being investigated.
