President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov signed a decree appointing Nurzhan Shaildabekova Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Austria, Permanent Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic to the OSCE and other international organizations in Vienna. The press service of the president reported.
By another decree, the head of state dismissed Tolendy Makenov from the post of Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Austria.
On February 10, 2025, Nurzhan Shaildabekova wrote a letter of resignation. She had headed the Central Election Commission of Kyrgyzstan (CEC) since June 2016.
Her deputy Tynchtyk Shainazarov was appointed to the vacant position by the decision of the CEC members.
