Kyrgyzstan remains among top 3 suppliers of new cars to Russia

At least 71,900 new cars were imported to Russia in the first quarter of 2025. Executive Director of the analytical agency Avtostat Sergei Udalov reported at FinAuto — 2025 Auto Business Forum.

According to him, this is 66 percent less than the figure for the same period in 2024.

Most often, cars were imported to the Russian market from the following countries:

  • China (85.3 percent);
  • Kyrgyzstan (5.1 percent);
  • Belarus (3.9 percent);
  • Kazakhstan (1.3 percent);
  • South Korea (1.1 percent);
  • Japan (0.6 percent);
  • Georgia (0.6 percent);
  • Germany (0.5 percent);
  • Others (1.6 percent).

The largest number of cars of the Chinese brands Changan and Omoda were delivered to the Russian market this year. Analysts do not specify which models are on the list of leaders.
