Dancers from Kyrgyzstan won a silver medal at an International Ballroom Dance Tournament in the United Kingdom. Sergei Titunin, head of DanceSport Federation of the Kyrgyz Republic, reported.
The WDSF Dance Sport Festival 2025 took place from April 11 to 13 in Blackpool. Kyrgyz dancers competed on the dance floor with participants from Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Germany, Poland, China, and other European and Asian countries.
In the "Rising Stars" Latin category, the dance duo Vladimir Vyrleev and Maria Proshletsova took the second place, winning a silver medal among 101 competing pairs. In another category, "Adults" Latin, the pair took 35th place out of 144 couples.
The DanceSport Federation of Kyrgyzstan expressed gratitude to the athletes who participated in the competition.
Previously, Kyrgyz dancers also showed outstanding results at the Asian Championship, where Dmitry Blinkov and Asal Mambetova took first place in the Latin program among 14 contestants from across the region.
