Criminal case on the traffic accident, committed by a serviceman of CSTO Kant airbase, was sent to the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia. Attorney of the affected party Ikramidin Aitkulov told 24-kg.com news agency.
According to him, the criminal case will be investigated by the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
«Earlier, the Investigative Committee initiated a case against a serviceman of Kant airbase. The issue of compensation to the affected party has not yet been resolved,» Ikramidin Aitkulov said.
On August 27, a serviceman of Kant air base hit a mother and a child by car in Lebedinovka village of Chui region. The woman died on the way to the hospital, and a three-year-old child was seriously injured. The Alamedin Regional Police Department and the Russian side filed a criminal case, but the Russian military personnel of the airbase are not subject to jurisdiction in Kyrgyzstan.
